Shades of Cinema is an independent media company that produces diverse ideas to images by passionate filmmakers in forms of television, film, documentary, digital, and new media.​We aim to create genuine and compelling stories that connect profoundly with a diverse audience. We partner with award winning and highly educated filmmakers to create award winning and timeless stories.

Entries MUST be completed! This is mandatory for consideration. Works in progress are not allowed.- International Short Films (narrative fiction): (40 minutes or less)- Short Film (40 minutes or less)- Short Documentary: (25 minutes or less)- Web Series (submit two in a series; each not to exceed 20:00) The filmmaker has secured all the rights.It is the responsibility of the submitter to provide a link and/or a password that works.Films must represent our theme of diversity or socially conscious. Please provide the following in the body of your submission:- Working link to your film- Title of Film- Genre of Film - Length of Film- Movie Poster or Artwork of Film - Brief synopsis- Name of Director - Submission Fee is $10 USD.

We conduct this process on a quarterly basis. Upon submission, your application will remain active until December 31st, 2024. Each month, we select one film to feature on our channel and receive the fund.

There is a nonrefundable $10 administrative fee payable via secure checkout. The application process requires administrative resources to review, process, and manage the applications. Shades Of Cinema charges a small fee to help offset these administrative costs and ensures that the organization can effectively handle the influx of applications. Due to the overwhelming response, only selected filmmakers receiving grants will be notified. Thank you!
