Sydney Denise: Founder/CEO
Sydney Denise is an award winning screenwriter and producer from Atlanta, Georgia. She received her bachelor’s degree in business from Savannah State University and master’s degree in film from Georgia's State University.
During her graduate years at GSU, she studied film and writing in Ecuador, learning mostly about Ecuadorian culture and how Afro-Ecuadorians are perceived in their media. She is known for her most recent short film, Gotcha, that premiered at Bronzelens, Afrikana, On Set Atl, San Diego Black Film Festival and currently playing on Aspire TV.
Her inspiration for storytelling comes from her love of films, specifically horror, and other infamous black women writers such as Toni Morrison, Zora Neale Hurston, Nikki Giovanni, Alice Walker, Maya Angelou, Toni Cade Bambara and many others. In short,
Sydney hopes to contribute more timeless films for the global majority to enjoy while inspiring other filmmakers to create movies that they want to see on television and film.
